Our Special Patient Processing Protocol
Welcome to Scottsdale McCormick Ranch Surgicenter. All our staff look forward to providing you with the safest experience possible. We have developed special protocols and adhere to all governmental recommendations regarding protection from COVID-19 exposure. In addition, unlike a hospital based surgicenter, we do not care for anyone other than healthy cosmetic surgery patients.
In an abundance of caution, we have set forth the following protocol to minimize the risk of exposure to COVID 19 for our patients, staff and physicians. Please read through the protocol and discuss it with anyone who will be involved in your care so that your team is aware of what to expect on your day of surgery.
Please download and complete the following 2 forms and return to us at least 72 hours before your scheduled surgery. Send by Fax 480.410.4001 or scan and email Scheduler@ScottsdaleMRS.com
On the day of your surgery, please bring a cloth face covering. You will be required to wear this to enter the Surgicenter. When you arrive at the Surgicenter, please remain in your car and call our registration desk at 480.410.4000. The registration clerk will verify that we have received all of the information you were asked to submit for your surgery.
A triage nurse will then come to your vehicle to check your temperature with an infrared thermometer and ask you a list of screening questions regarding your current health.
As much as we would like to allow a friend or loved one to accompany you into the Surgicenter, we are unable to do so at this time. Please plan to say, “See you soon!” to your supporters before exiting your vehicle.
When your surgery has been completed and you are resting in the recovery room, the nurse caring for you will phone the individual you have listed to let them know when you will be ready for discharge. At that time, they may proceed to the entrance on the east side of the Surgicenter where you will be transported in a wheelchair by your nurse to your vehicle.
